With great drinks, endless bar options and different atmospheres, the bar scene is a host to multiple personalities. Where there are bar-goers there is alcohol and all these personalities get to mix, mingle and chat amongst one another. With all these different personalities in the mix, chances are you might clash with someone. So how do you get a headstart in the game of prejudging?

The answer – pre-drinking with them. This tactic might give you early insight into a person’s personality as you’ll get to use their drink of choice to carefully assess them.  Your drink choice gives off subtle signals about your personality that you may be completely unaware of. It also gives off signals about other people which you could use to your advantage. Here are a few examples of beverages and what they could mean about the person drinking them:

Wine

Whether you prefer your reds or your whites, you are just as sophisticated as your palette. If wine is your go-to option, you prefer the finer things in life. You like to indulge but to a certain extent. Most often, your night will consist of an intense conversation with whoever is available. You are incredibly social. However, you have an inner fierceness, and your strong, confident alter ego comes out in the best way.

G&T

If your drink of choice consists of gin and tonic – or gin and anything else really – you are the trendy, “cool mom” of your group. You know how to party but are also responsible enough to pick your friends up off the floor. You are always there to help out and take care of any situation. A useful friend to have, especially if you have a few crazy tequila friends in the group (still to come).

Whiskey

If you are drinking expensive whiskey on the regular, it most likely means you have a little money in the bank. You are fancy and mature, with plenty of life experience to go around. You are straightforward and precise, with an occasional flair for fun.

Beer

You are the happy-go-lucky person in your group, who is always ready for anything. You don’t generally have strong opinions on either side of an argument and tend to go with the flow. You fit in well in your group and seldom make complaints.

What Your Choice of Beverage Says

Beer

You are the happy-go-lucky person in your group, who is always ready for anything. You don’t generally have strong opinions on either side of an argument and tend to go with the flow. You fit in well in your group and seldom make complaints.

Cosmopolitan

Just like your drink, you come across as very sweet. But everyone knows you have a salty side. You are an old-soul, who is reluctant to try new things. You enjoy a good time, but worry about what people might be saying.

Margarita

You are the dancing queen of the party. You are a social butterfly who gets along with everyone. You enjoy meeting new people and aren’t afraid of any challenge. Should anyone cross you or your friends in a bad manner, they better watch out for your sour side.

Long Island Iced Tea

You are an inexperienced drinker who likes a sugary drink combination. Your choice has a bad reputation, but that’s not stopping you. You don’t particularly care what people think. This no-care attitude is what makes you, you!

Tequila Shots

Shots of tequila? You are here to party! You let nothing stand in your way of a good time. You are bubbly and fun to be around. Your kind of crazy is either loved or hated by the people around you – but those haters are probably just jealous.

Champagne

You celebrate everything and anything. You are the supporter of all your friend’s efforts and like to observe their achievements. You are the best at finding reasons to get together with everyone you love.

With all this new information, you have the opportunity to rethink that beverage of choice, find out what people are thinking about you for it, or simply just embrace your taste profile and the traits accompanying it.

Whatever your taste preference, Thirst Bar Services has the beverage for you. This is especially true of events that require cocktails to suit every guest’s needs. Contact Thirst to find out more about tailor-made cocktails for your event.
