day-to-day, exploring what mobile bar services can and should be. Having met and developed a keen sense of service excellence and bar alchemy working in London’s West End, the duo returned to their native South Africa in 2005 and founded THIRST united by their mutual vision.
Their goal? To shake up South Africa’s modest bar and hospitality scene with fresh thinking and innovation to match its global counterparts. With well-placed investment, THIRST doubled its infrastructure, growing from a humble trestle-table operation to the professional mobile bar experience partner it is today.
THIRSTS’ roster of achievements includes winning contracts to run Coca-Cola VIP bars and event hosting at the FIFA World Cup in South Africa. In 2011 THIRST ran the most extensive training program for bartenders on African continent for Diageo. To date, THIRST has trained in excess of 65,000 barpeople across the whole of Africa.
