Meet Keiron-Bruce Robertshaw

EVENT’S MANAGER – CAPE TOWN
FULL NAME
Keiron-Bruce Robertshaw
WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE GROWING UP?
I wanted to be many things growing up. At one point I wanted to be a Jedi and the next day a Scientist.
WHAT ARE YOU NOW?
Now I am a bit of both, by day I am an Events Manager and bar trainer and by night I am a cocktail Jedi combining both science and discipline.
TELL US YOUR STORY AND HOW YOU GOT TO WHERE YOU ARE TODAY?
Throughout my schooling career I was never very good at traditional school, preferring the Chemistry practicals and art classes which I think may have contributed to my current choice of profession.
When I turned 18 my first job was as a bartender in a small family pub, which is where I met the woman who would later train me as a cocktail bartender and then hire me as a bartender for Thirst Bar Services. From there on I worked at many different events and in many different clubs and lounges throughout Cape Town’s vibrant night scene. I later became the head bartender at a cocktail lounge and then moved on from there to become an events manager and bar trainer.
Throughout my night life career my passion for the industry and the people only grew more and more by the shift. To this day the science and art of mixology still captures my imagination and further inspires me to be my very best.
